We work closely with a curated selection of reliable dealers worldwide, enabling us to trace the origin of new stones to their country or state of origin. We source our materials with a design-based approach, and whenever feasible, we utilize vintage or reclaimed post-consumer stones. Our priority is to use locally sourced and recycled materials, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.
We place great emphasis on our materials and the skilled artisans who handcraft our pieces. Our artisans are paid fair wages, enjoy sustainable career opportunities, have access to employee-led credit unions, benefit from 90 days of paid maternity leave, and are eligible for education scholarships and wellness programs. We value their contributions and are committed to supporting their well-being as an integral part of our ethical and sustainable jewelry brand.
Our collection pieces are meticulously handcrafted with 100% recycled precious metals, ensuring that they are nickel-free and lead-free for a sustainable and responsible jewelry choice.
Each piece in our collection is made-to-order or produced in limited quantities to minimize unnecessary waste. We believe in a sustainable approach to production, valuing quality over quantity and reducing our environmental footprint by avoiding excess inventory. This allows us to create jewelry that is truly unique and meaningful, while also being mindful of our impact on the environment.
We take pride in our commitment to sustainability throughout every aspect of our brand, including our packaging. Our jewelry comes in eco-friendly, FSC-certified, recyclable, and fair-trade certified luxe reusable packaging. We carefully select materials for our packaging, prioritizing sustainability and minimizing environmental impact. We recommend storing your jewelry individually in the Nashira Arnó jewelry box or pouch bag to protect it from wear and tear, as well as excess exposure to direct sunlight.
Our packaging is not only environmentally conscious, but also thoughtfully considered in terms of design and social impact. Our signature handwoven baskets are made from dried palm leaves by rural artisans in the Dominican Republic, promoting local design and preserving traditional crafts and natural resources. This makes each piece even more special for the wearer, knowing that it supports sustainable practices and empowers communities.
Materials & Care
Gold Vermeil Care
Gold vermeil is a traditional technique that involves plating sterling silver with a thick layer of 18ct gold, resulting in high-quality jewelry at an accessible price point. At Nashira Arnó Studio, we take special care in treating our gold vermeil jewelry with anti-tarnish treatment for long-lasting quality. However, it's natural for vermeil to tarnish over time depending on factors such as usage, body chemistry, humidity, and care.
To maintain the shine of your gold vermeil jewelry, we recommend using a 100% cotton or microfiber cloth for cleaning. It's also important to remove your jewelry before bathing, showering, washing hands, swimming, exercising, or applying perfume, hairspray, or lotion. This helps to prevent tarnishing and keep your jewelry looking its best.
If your gold vermeil jewelry requires re-plating, we offer a re-plating service for a fee. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote. We are committed to providing excellent customer service and ensuring the longevity of your jewelry.
Sterling Silver Care
Sterling silver is an alloy containing not less than 92.5% silver content.
We usually plate our 925 sterling silver jewelry with white rhodium plating to secure a strong and resistant surface. Nevertheless, silver might oxidize over time. Gently wipe your jewelry clean with a soft cloth after each wear to maintain the finish of your piece.
